Xenia started dancing at the age of 3 at Westminster school of performing arts, every Saturday. By the age of 11 she knew she wanted a career in dance and successfully auditioned for Barbara Speake Stage School on a full time basis, with a busy curriculum consisting of auditions, professional acting and dance work plus normal school work. At the age of 15she was scouted to join Ravenscourt theatre school (formally known as corona) where she did her GCSE’s and stayed on to continue her studies at the college. Xenia then went on to Westminster Kingsway to obtain her btec diploma in musical theatre where she received a triple distinction (the highest mark). Throughout this time she was still working in the industry and engaging in numerous charity events
Xenia started dancing competitively at a young age wining all her dance schools in house competitions and local festivals. In 2007 she was selected to represent England dance squad at the IDF (international dance federation) world championships in tap, salsa, hip hop and group jazz dances.
After dancing for the England dance squad for 8 years all over the world and obtaining countless gold medals, she was offered the role as team co-ordinator and given lots more choreography opportunities , she also enlarged the team from 23 dancers to 110 by auditioning throughout the UK to find the best children and young adults.
Throughout her years at England Dance Squad xenia realised her passion was teaching and she went back to full time college to get her ISTD DDI in modern and then tap. Xenia continues to study for her DDE and will continue training to one day hopefully become an ISTD examiner.
Xenia is so excited to meet all the wonderful new students that will join her school and can’t wait to work with everyone, and pass on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of performers.
